LIZ LAZARUS is an engineer by education, a consultant & business owner from experience and an author given her passion to tell stories. Her first novel is loosely based on a personal experience and a series of ‘what if’ questions following a foiled attack. FREE OF MALICE tells the story of a journalist who grapples with the legal system to acknowledge her right to self-defense. Liz’s second novel, PLEA FOR JUSTICE depicts the journey of a paralegal striving to reveal the truth about her estranged friend’s incarceration, and leading her on a parallel path of self-discovery. Her recently released thriller, SHADES OF SILENCE, showcases the resilience of a woman faced with devastating loss, the unexpected friendship forged from tragedy and the recurring societal themes that confront every generation. Liz is a member of A Girl & A Gun, The Well-Armed Woman and is an NRA certified pistol instruction and Range Safety Officer. Her books are known for their strong female protagonists, thorough research, firearms education and killer twist endings.

Varg Freeborn, author of the book, Violence of Mind, his new book Beyond OODA, and owner of Violence Education and Lethal Force Training. Varg Freeborn is an author, self-defense and gunfight instructor, lethal force educator, fitness coach, a father and a family man. He is a current cadre guest instructor to multiple law enforcement facilities and associations such as the Ohio Tactical Officers Association and the Alliance Police Training Facility (Alliance, OH)  and is well known in the law enforcement and task force communities. His experience with criminal violence, concealment as a field craft, close fighting (especially with weapons), and criminal mindset are unsurpassed in the self-defense industry for the specific lane of civilian criminal violence. He is most well known for his “Violence of Mind” course work, which focuses on the mindset aspect of training and fighting in a way that few have ever been able to approach.
