ABOUT OUR GUEST – MIKE TREAT
Mike is the Co-owner and Chief Trainer at Condition Orange Preparedness along with his wife Brenda Peterson. He is also a staff instructor at QSI Training. He has over 25 years experience in corrections, law enforcement and private security and began his teaching/coaching career in 2001 as a Minnesota State Corrections Officer – teaching Basic Lifesaving Skills/CPR/AED, Control Tactics and Self-Defense instructor. Mike has training and certifications from Rangemaster (advanced instructor, defensive shotgun), Massad Ayoob Group (Deadly Force Instructor), Defense Training International, Shivworks, Agile Tactical, Immediate Action Combatives, NRA, Valor Ridge, MN Peace Officer Standards & Training, St. Paul Police Department and the Minnesota Department of Corrections to name a few.

2. To delve more into the subject of self-control in violent or chaotic situations as we discussed early in the program, I recommend Varg Freeborn’s latest book: Beyond OODA: Developing the Orientation for Deception, Conflict and Violence as well as his first book Violence Of Mind.
3. An exceptionally insightful and invaluable resource is the a podcast called the Contextual Insurgent Project hosted by Erin Smith.
